Grants

Contribution that is dedicated to addressing a specific purpose with definitive outputs and measurable outcomes or allocated toward general operating support to continue and strengthen nonprofit programming, services and infrastructure.

We have three subcategories of grants:

• Long-term Programmatic Support (e.g., RFP/multi-year)
• Short-term Programmatic Support (e.g., general operating)
• Infrastructure Support (e.g., HVAC replacement, accessible chair installation, wing expansion, etc.)

Employee Matching Grants

Proportional contribution made by CareFirst to an eligible organization based on donations contributed by active employees.

Sponsorships

Contribution that supports nonprofit activities, programs or special events and strengthens connections with our members and communities.

We have two subcategories of sponsorships:

• Event Sponsorships (e.g., gala, award ceremony, health fair, 5K, etc.)
• Learning/Training Series Sponsorships (e.g., conference, professional development, webinar, etc.)

In-kind Donations

Non-cash contribution in the form of goods, services, equipment, or property, including CareFirst branded promotional items.

Memberships

Annual investment (e.g., member or board dues) in business associations, civic groups and consortiums that drive collective impact.
