Mental Health in the Workplace

multi-ethnic work group The COVID-19 pandemic opened our eyes to various issues. An example is the importance of mental health and the need to encourage practices that support individuals in general, specifically in the workplace.

Stacia Cohen, R.N., MBA, Executive Vice President of Health Services for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield, recently shared insights with the Business Journal on workplace mental health and how we apply the lessons we learned from the pandemic to prioritize mental health in the workplace.

Cohen also highlighted clear evidence that more people took advantage of mental health care during the pandemic, benefiting from the ease of using telemedicine as an effective treatment during social distancing.
