Transforming Health With Care

Led by a mission that advances health equity, we are responsible for ensuring everyone has an equal opportunity to be healthy and live fully. This is why we back endeavors and innovations that support health outside traditional clinical settings.

In 2023, we focused heavily on partnerships and investments that provide education, skills training, employment opportunities, support services such as transportation and childcare, and removing additional barriers faced by adults with low incomes, who are nearly five times as likely to be in poor or fair health.

We also partnered with groups in our service area to address food insecurity and lack of access to affordable, nutritious food, which is associated with increased risk for conditions like heart disease, diabetes, obesity and even lower life expectancy.

Additionally, we advocated for more services to support behavioral health and compassionate, inclusive care to ensure that everyone—regardless of race or ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability and geographic or financial access—can get the care they need.
