Improving Market Dynamics for Medicare Advantage in Maryland

Medicare Advantage (MA) beneficiaries get more benefits and spend less than their counterparts in fee-for-service Medicare which is why enrollment in MA continues to grow nationwide. Studies show Medicare enrollees see the value in MA and continue to report high satisfaction rates. However, Maryland has one of the lowest MA penetration rates in the nation. CareFirst believes Medicare beneficiaries living in Maryland are missing out on the full value of MA.
