
Dorothea (Dori) Henderson is the Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO) at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield (CareFirst), one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organizations. In this role, she leads the company’s Information Technology (IT) organization, driving business value through digital transformation, enhanced user experiences, and strengthened business continuity. Known for her customer-obsessed leadership, Dori leverages technology to achieve organizational goals.
Before joining CareFirst, Dori served as Vice President of Business Aviation Digital Solutions at Collins Aerospace, a subsidiary of RTX. There, she led growth in the business aviation sector, providing digital solutions for flight operations supporting 6,000 aircraft and spearheading next-generation technology and data management initiatives across the Information Management Services business. In an earlier role, she served as Head of Digital Operations at Boston Scientific.
Over her 18-year tenure at Collins Aerospace, Dori held various technology leadership positions, including Cybersecurity, Global Networks and 24/7 Mission-Critical Operations. Her career has focused on transforming technology, processes, business models and organizational culture, improving stakeholder engagement while delivering significant bottom-line value.
Dori holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Accounting from Penn State University and combines deep technology expertise with strong business leadership, serving both customer-facing and internal stakeholders.
